Urban Combatives West

Trained here with Harj for a little while. Harj is an amazing instructor. As fascinating to listen to as to watch demonstrate. Krav is such an eye opener in terms of self defence. It's pure logic, but that's not always the place you're mind goes to in high pressure situations. The theory of it as well as the physical side of it will always fascinate me. Highly recommended but not for the faint hearted. Be prepared to train hard and put the work in.

Harj is a 1st class instructor who has trained in multiple disciplines to the highest standards. He now delivers this fantastic no BS self defence system to a fantastic bunch of regular students and many new starters. If you are interested in martial arts and self defence this monthly workshop is a must

UC provides a real world approach to dealing with the threat of violence and I'd recommend it to anyone looking into combatives. In terms of instruction, it doesn't get much better that Harj, who runs UCWest. He's always there to push you further that you thought you could go and his skill and knowledge set are mind blowing!

If you're looking for a self-protection/self-preservation class in Birmingham, look NO FURTHER! Harj Sohal is extremely knowledgeable, definitely in the top best Urban Combatives Instructors on the planet!

I've known Harj for years, trained alongside him and been taught by him through Krav Maga and often attend his Urban Combatives workshops since his qualification as a UC instructor. Harj is a fantastic, very knowledgeable instructor and I personally cannot recommend these workshops enough. If you're serious about self protection Urban Combatives West is well worth your attention.
