Tribe - Bushcraft Centre

What an experience. One child created an amazing bush display and the other learnt fire techniques he's still talking about. All in an incredible location buried deep in the forest with the most enthusiastic and friendly teachers. We'll be back!

I started attending Tribe over a year ago looking for a hobby. I attend the Saturday sessions and these have so far included using knives safely, fire starting, foraging, building an oven to fire clay plus many other skills and projects. Session are led by Pete and Alison who are very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I enjoyed it so much that I took my 10 year old granddaughter along. She thoroughly enjoys her time in the woods learning new skills.

We had a wonderful afternoon in the camp in the woods making willow wreaths with Peter and Alison. They were very welcoming and gave us clear instructions on how to construct our wreath. There were lots of lovely natural decorations to choose from and I was very pleased with my wreath. The site is well hidden so you feel that you are away from the hustle and bustle of life and connecting with nature for a few hours. Pete and his assistant did a great job, very knowledgeable and highly skilled. They matched the activities to our diverse group and made sure everyone was involved. Clear communication before the event was appreciated. The facilities were nicer than I was expecting from a compost loo! Beautiful location and lovely crew - would highly recommend.

I did the willow wreath workshop here in December, and absolutly loved it! Even though we had a particulary horrid and wet day, we were under cover for the workshop and around a campfire, so the rain didnt bother me much at all. We had plenty of time to make our wreathes, with great instruction and even time to have a chat, with mince pies and mulled grape juice. It was a very lovely experience, and I'll be back for more workshops here in the summer!
