The objective of the course is to teach you as a ley person how to assist someone in life threatening situations. By assisting a person in need, you may save their life, and give them a better outcome (reduce chances of disabilities etc.).
This course will cover theory and then look at the following Primary skills Scene Assessment – Barrier Use – Primary Assessment – CPR – Rescue Breathing - Serious Bleeding - Shock Management - Spinal Injury and Choking. Then we will also look at the Secondary Care Skills including Illness Assessment - Injury Assessment - Bandaging - Splinting.
Bolt On Modules: At additional cost £10 you can get an orientation on Emergency Oxygen and AED Orientation.
Home study is required. Materials will only be delivered to UK Postal Addresses. You will need to read and complete knowledge reviews before the session. We aim to have all materials in our students' hands with in 7 days of the course starting.
* Course material is not sent if you're doing a refresh course. You should have a current manual (Post 2010)
You will receive a certificate once you have completed the course, you have been assessed as competent at completing the skills and you have satisfactorily completed a final exam.

Demonstration/Taster Tickets.
We have limited tickets for people wanting to do the course WITHOUT certification. This is a taster before you commit to the course. The course ends after the CPR & Rescue Breathing skills. Note Course materials/ Certifications or website access is not included in the price of the demonstration. A small fee is charged for the taster demonstrations, but this is refunded if the full course is taken within 28 days.
We are very flexible, and happy to run course at weekends or over a few weekday evenings. Prior arrangement should be made.

We post out your materials 2 weeks before the course, this should give you 7 - 10 days before the course date.
We will refund you fully 14 days in advance of the course start date (If you have not started any elearning).
After 14 days, then you can postpone the course up to 90 days after the original course date, but you need to give us at least 24 hours in advance. Refunds can not be given with in 14 days of the course.
