🐯❤️ Excellent 5-Dan and 6-Dan senseis and a loving community. Tora is where I can call home in this foreign country. The dojo is a perfect place for beginners to start with a solid basis and for experienced kendoka to aim higher and hone their skills. I joined when I was studying in London, and even though I’ve moved to another town, I am spending 4 hours of train and bus rides for Tora whenever my schedule allows ;)

I trusted some Reddit’s recommendation and so I’ve begun my kendo journey at Tora since 1.5 years. Here’s my unbiased comment: I found Tora a great place to get trained and improved on basic yet essential techniques properly - it’s not a place to turn yourself into a samurai in a month or so. Vigorous free sparring followed. As a woman I’m proud of the fact that Tora was founded by a woman. And indeed I always feel empowered and supported by all senseis and my fellow practitioners at Tora. Yo...

They have several senseis, so each level group gets specialized training, that is very useful. Also because the senseis are very different in terms of their kendo style, you can observe them and develop kendo that more suits you, not just a copy of your sensei

Amazing club and a lovely cohort! Everyone is friendly and the sensais are especially awesome: patient and super skillful. Here we push each other to make progress and TORA IS LOVE!!!
