Fabulous course, playable all year round. £44 in January is top dollar, but where else can you play this time of year? Only criticism is the dreadful 15th hole which needs completely redesigning - just a bit of wasteland with no view of the tee. Otherwise, an excellent experience in wonderful tranquil surroundings. Will certainly return!

Thorpeness Golf Club & Hotel is a great venue for a golf break. Indeed it would be a great venue for any type of break. The golf course is a lovely Heathland Course, the food was excellent and all the staff were very welcoming, friendly and professional. The value for money was exceptional. Next time we go it will be for 2 nights.

Went on a 2 day overnight stay with golf, bed and breakfast and everything was fantastic. The course was great. The rooms were large. The breakfasts and the evening meals were all well presented and tasty. But what made the trip complete was the welcoming manners of all the staff, from the reception through to the bar/catering staff through to the Pro Shop. Nothing was too much trouble for them all. Well done Thorpeness Golf Hotel. We will be back.

Our 2nd stay here and it will not be our last. We were felt welcomed from check in to check out. When we got to our room which was spotlessly clean and comfortable we did notice that the main light in the room and bathroom were not working {all other lights and electrical outlets were} a quick call to reception and the problem was rectified within a couple of minutes. Food for both breakfast and dinner was delicious (it's lovely not having eggs etc kept warm under a heat lamp} and plentiful. ...

Fantastic place to stay and play for all golfers. First rate course, make this an awesome place to play. Not easy but definitely not boring with a wonderful mixture of holes. Big thank you to the Greenkeepers for a beautifully kept course with superb greens. Great food, great staff, great setting. We'll be back and encourage others to come. Keep a look out for the Windmill and the House in the Clouds.
