The Pottery Box

Awful experience! We visited in September and are still yet to receive the items that we painted. We have no communication from the potter box for months to then be told the kiln was broken. They requested that we picked up the items. We went along to pick up the items at the specified time to find it was closed. They then told me they were closed due to an event. I have requested a refund on the 18th March and have still not had a response.

Bad service didn’t tell us on phone when booking that it would take two months to collect as website suggests 4 weeks took our £10 deposit and didn’t even offer to refund once telling us a 2month wait for items was minimum which meant we no longer wanted to paint there luckily we hadn’t started yet and the place was empty so nobody was waiting for a slot, false information provided on website. we left straight away so didn’t even use the space paid for. the £10 deposit doesn’t even get you a...

We had a really fun time making the pottery when we were there for my little sisters birthday with her school friends. The staff just let us do our own thing, they didn’t get too involved unless we requested it, very hands off & just sat near the back. Not a bad thing, we didn’t mind really. The day we went, we were told we’d get our pottery back in 4 weeks, which was a longer time period than originally quoted when we first enquired. 6 weeks later we’ve been told it will take another 2 weeks...

Waited over 3 weeks for my pottery to be ready, was told that it needed to be re-fired so had to wait even longer to collect mine another week beyond the other’s who I’d gone with. My pottery was glazed unevenly with lots of the paint smudged underneath which is a shame having already paid for it. The paint also appears very patchy and streaky which surprised me as we were told that one layer of paint would be enough - and I painted 2-3 layers! A bit disappointed.

My friends and I booked for the Adults Bubbles and Paint workshop recently and absolutely loved it! Our booth was decorated and provided with flutes for the beverages we brought with us. The shop had a selection of different bisques available - it was hard to choose one! The staff played some music whilst we were there giving it more of a party feel! Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, highly recommend and will book again!
