If you are lucky, you can sightsee the library during its open hours to visitors. Here is one tip from me, though. On a sunny day, you can hardly see the murals at all. The best time to come is a cloudy day or when it is getting dark outside.

  • Unfortunately, the Oxford Union restricts free expression and discourages voices of criticism. I don't think this is the true ideology of such a reputed university.

  • A great place to watch debates, with an excellent library and bar too. Generally you have to be a member, which means being in statu pupillari (i.e. studying at Oxford University, Ruskin, Brookes, and 4 other affiliated Oxford institutions). • Totally not worth the membership fee. Incredibly entitled staff that doesn't provide good service and that look down on students. The speaker events are not that great and you can find better and more insightful talks on YouTube. It's not an "instution of the University" in any way
