The Modern Language School

Learning a second language had been on my ‘to do list’ for a while. The Modern Language school has a great range of languages and levels. Beginners Spanish met all my expectations with a comfortable pace of learning. The option to join on line via zoom has been a bonus with Covid and it’s many challenges.I am very much looking forward to starting the third year with many of the people who signed up in year one. During my time as a student at The Modern Language School, not only have a become confident Spanish speaker, I have immensely enjoyed the classes, had lots of fun and made many new friends. Lynne is an extremely competent teacher who thankfully has patience in abundance and a great sense of humour. I would highly recommend the school to anyone who wants to learn a language in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

I have been taking Spanish lessons at The Modern Language School for two years now. The friendly and supportive teaching staff are excellent. Lessons are well planned, fun and enjoyable. The flexibilty the school offers is great too, with the option to join classes virtually if you are unable to make it in person. Whether you are looking to learn a new language from scratch or refresh some rusty skills, I can thoroughly recommend The Modern Language School.

A fabulous environment to learn a new language. I studied Italian for 5 years and thoroughly enjoyed it. Vicky uses a great variety of learning tools and makes the lessons fun whilst at the same time ensuring we’re all keeping up. Having many other demands on my time I never felt under pressure to study outside the classroom although for those who choose to, Vicky is also very supportive. I thoroughly enjoy my Spanish classes at the Modern Language School. Lynne offers a mix of teaching styles which make the classes interesting and informative and most importantly of all fun!! The school itself is well equipped for both classes on site and also via zoom. There is plenty of parking and facilities for refreshment breaks. All in all a fantastic place to learn languages.
