  • Taken over as part of the Potters buy out and redevelopment of the resort. Easy to use on line booking tee time system, decent practice facilities, new golfers bar/restaurant and changing facilities. Course was in good shape, greens were excellent, the tee markers not easy to identify in odd metallic colours. Overall good value for money and some great membership offers. The food menu is lacking in content and restricted opening hours for the bar was disappointing.

  • When a course is called 5 lakes you expect a lot of water but I kind of feel it should be called more like 2 and a 1/2 lakes, not that I was disappointed! It feels like a great weekend venue for travelling golf groups, it had that vibe and feel. I think its always slightly unfair to rate courses in terms of quality in the midst of winter but in fairness to 5 lakes it was in really good nick. • Just back from from a small (12) society day at potters 5 lakes golf club. The day went perfectly, we were well looked at after at all stages, the coffee and bacon rolls beforehand were fine, the course itself was in good condition with very tricky greens. The food afterwards was freshly prepared and went down really well. Great value at £43 pp. We’ll definitely be back for another day.

  • Not sure about the golf facilities as I only used their bar area and this was like an old man's pub if not worst. Establishment is old, aged and the service was poor. £5.8 for a pint of moretti that was flat is a joke. Chairs, tables is like in a classroom very uncomfortable. Cleaning standards are very poor (see attached photos)

  • The facilities are ok, the food wasn't too bad, the gym needs upgrading and the staff were polite. I give them 3 stars because the bed I was given in room 142 was a disgrace. I would have preferred to sleep on the floor. Premier Inn have better beds for a fraction of the price.
