Popped in the Geek Bar as I was staying locally for work and thought it would be a nice retreat into geekdom. I was not disappointed! The venue is fantastic - great size, good board game collection, really tasty food (I recommend the Frickle Ricks!), and the staff & locals are so very friendly. Honestly, it's a credit to the local geek community and I am so glad I popped in. Will hope to return again soon!

Recently started going in on Sunday nights for their D&D beginners sessions. Wanted to play for years now but have never been able to find a group to join before. The games are really good and well put together and joining in hasn’t felt difficult despite being a newbie. Gaming and drinks prices are excellent (£7.50 for a 3 hours game session, £3.00 for a pint of beer).

We needed to kill a couple of hours in Harrogate before going to a dinner. We love board games so popped in. The drinks were so cheap and the price to play games was good, so overall really good value for money. Tables were perhaps a bit small but we loved the decor (e.g. one was topped with Magic cards, another covered in nerdy stickers). We'd definitely go back and recommend to friends.

Lovely atmosphere. Good customer service and huge selection of game to play. Went the other night with my partner and friend and had a great time.

We absolutely love it here, the atmosphere is perfect, the games library has something for everyone and the food is delicious. We've been both for my husband to play games and for our 6 year old daughter to, there's something to please all ages and tastes. The chairs are comfortable even when sitting for long periods. The staff and owner are helpful and are happy to make recommendations on suitable games. Everything is carefully cleaned and steralised which is something other bars are sadly n...
