The Chestnut Stables

Had such a fabulous lesson last eve. Hayley and Kelsey are such knowledgeable teachers who make you feel at ease. Different challenges as you progress keep your riding skills developing. The horses are well trained, well cared for and matched to your abilities. An attempt at Cantering last eve left me feeling invigorated. Definitely recommend this Riding Stables to people of all abilities.

Our niece has had several riding lessons at Chestnut stables and the staff are very supportive and kind and the ponies gentle and well cared for. Would really recommend these stables to anyone. Thank you to Kelsey a very kind and considerate trainer.

Fab experience today taking my nervous 6 year old to her first riding experience. The staff were fab at making her feel safe and confident, explaining everything at every step of the way in a fun and friendly way. The pony was super sweet and well mannered, and the lesson was perfect for a first timer - lots of different practices to keep it interesting, and she came off the pony beaming with her "well done" rosette for completing the "one pole challenge" - really nice touch. Adult lesson- the instructor taught in such a negative way. No praise and no encouragement. Bordering on condescending. The teaching style took the enjoyment out of the experience. Pony's had good temperament which made it enjoyable and easy for beginners.

Love my weekly lessons here. Friendly professional staff, thorough training, and well cared for horses. Just returned after Lockdown to find extra hygiene and distancing procedures put in place to ensure you can still ride safely, very impressed with these Riding Stables.
