What an honour to captain team Europe not the result I expected but nevertheless the standard of golf played by both teams was exceptional. If London is anything to go by then The Cairns Cup has a bright future. Well done to all involved…

For me, the Cairns Cup was a very emotional and at the same time exciting experience. It's fantastic to see how players from different countries and continents did their best to support their team in this tournament. I'm proud to have been part of the European team.

Gibraltar sent a team of 3 golfers with intellectual disabilities plus their coach to the Cairns Cup in 2022, all sponsored by the organisation. It was an inspirational experience for them giving them the opportunity to compete on a top UK course from which they learned so much. Competing with fellow disabled golfers gave them plenty of role models to play and socialise with. They were treated extremely well and will remember the experience for a long time. It was a great sense of pride and achievement to be asked to represent Team Europe in this amazing event. To be able to be part of the Cairns cup and to showcase disability golf proved that no matter your disability or golfing handicap it is open for all. The project created a real sense of comradery among those involved and I can’t wait to be a part of this growing event

Privileged to of been selected to participate in this fantastic event. Definitely one of my most memorable golfing experiences. Great event highlighting golfers with various disabilities completing against each other. Camaraderie and friendships that will last a lifetime!
