Our Annual Open Day is the only time The Arienas Collective is open to the public. It is a great opportunity to visit our home-based workshop space, meet some of the artists and makers who run our workshops, find out more about all the workshops and courses we offer, and watch live, mini workshop demonstrations.
Opening hours
Doors open at 12 noon and close at 6.30pm. Why not combine a visit to see us with a city centre shopping trip, or festive get-together. Edinburgh will be in full festive swing by then! We're hidden away in a quiet mews just a 10 minute stroll from the hustle and bustle of St James Quarter shopping centre, St Andrew's Square, George Street, Princes Street and Edinburgh's 'favourite village', Stockbridge. There are also plenty of independent shops, cafes, galleries and restaurants in nearby Broughton Street, Dundas Street, and St Stephen's Street.
Pop-up shops
Some of our artists and makers also bring artworks and gifts to sell, often at special Arienas Open Day prices. The Arienas Collective creative gift kits, experiences, and gift vouchers will be available to buy on the day, with a special gift box offer. Card payments are preferred, however we will accept cash on the day - but please note we may have a limited supply of change available.
Fundraising
We will once again be fundraising to support Lihtaryk Art Studio in Kyiv, Ukraine to continue providing creative workshops for children, young people, adults and families to distract them from the horrors of living in wartime.
The Arienas Collective will donate its 10% pop-up shop sales commission, and the creative team will be donating prizes for an Open Day tombola.
We will have complimentary mulled wine and mince pies on offer, and welcome donations which will also go to Lihtaryk Art Studio.

More information
Please note that our workshop space is on the first floor of a Georgian mews home and there is no lift access. The space is not nut free, and if you have any concerns about any allergies please contact us before booking.
Our workshops are designed with adults in mind. Some are suitable for teenagers, but may require those aged 14 or under to be accompanied for insurance purposes. The Open Day is open to all, but space is restricted and since there will be workshop demos running, children should be supervised by an adult at all times.
You will find free parking in nearby streets and lanes within our parking zone. Please check the parking signs in case of any changes.
Please DO NOT park in the Meuse itself since this may block in our neighbours. Thank you.
Much as we love them, the Open Day can be very busy at times and would not suitable for dogs. Sorry.
If you have any questions about the suitability of the event, demos or location for your group, please email lynn@thearienascollective.com.
