My son had a great week here doing his Gold DofE residential. The staff that I interacted with at pick-up time seemed really friendly and enthusiastic. I got the sense that they enjoyed doing what they do. Fantastic location too. Thanks for hosting!

Reminder for everyone before booking that no flexibility after booking even illness with doctor's letter. No cancellation, no refund, non-transferable and non-changeable (my friend's child couldn't book it online as it's full but still not allow to replace my child who was advised by the doctor not to swim) ......it's so inflexible and not humanity!

Not a recent visit, but I came here almost every week between 1985 and 1987 with my school and gained the RYA dinghy sailing qualification. Its going back a somewhat, but I stayed here for a week in 1961 when I was 12, learning how to sail, kayak etc. It was one of the best experiences of my childhood. We were 'let out' on our own to kayak up to Richmond. Of course that would never happen now, with health and safety measures etc. What a wonderful memory!

My son (6yrs) was quite shy, the staff were considerate and help coax him out. He absolutely loved going to Young Explorers 6 & 7 year olds summer camp he's been to other camps but none of them appeal like this one did. He begged me to book him more days. If I could make one suggestion is sorting of age groups into separate rooms at sign on. In the big hall there's 100's of kids of all ages. It can be quite intimidating for the younger kids to go in.
