Fantastic weekend “Singing for the Uncertain”. Having been told throughout my life that I can’t sing Maddy and Rose-Ellen were able to help me discover that actually I can, they set me of the road. Very professional teaching, superb hospitality in community of like-minded people who neve judge but rather give encouragement. If you’re not sure be assured, it’s a transformative experience.

Been to 'Sing Songs of Steeleye With Maddy Prior and Rick Kemp', in mid September. Only been once before, and it's like coming home. Everything fabulous, utterly magic teachers, great group, some of whom were very clued up but all such gems, and it all gelled. Loved the insights on the band's life and challenges of performing. The Stones Barn site, Nette's lovely nosh, the Cumbrian scenery and olde worlde villages are all ace. Brill! joanna xxx

I'm not a 'singer' and I'm never going to get up on stage.... But, sharing the experience of Stones Barn is always, always an amazing event. You meet people who become life long friends, you learn about yourself whether you wanted to or not! It's an amazing time spent with great company..... And the food. .. Oh now that is special xxx

I'm just amazed that no reviews have been posted of this wonderful landmark to folk music and so much more. This is the venue created by the legendary Maddy Prior and her many companions in folk. My wife went there for her 50th birthday present and attended a singing course. Maddy and her team included so much more than just folk singing. A wonderful venue created by one of the true giants of modern folk music.
