Beginner level
Come and join Hannah at Stitching Kitchen for a day of fun felting. You will learn the techniques for wet felting around a resist so that you can create you own felt bowl using merino wool fibres.
What you will learn/achieve
We will cover different layout and decorative options during the day.
You will learn how to create a seamless join so that the bowl is created as one piece of non-woven textile.
We can also use multiple resists to create interesting surfaces.
You will take home a finished bowl at the end of the session.
What's included
Tuition: full instruction and support in a small class (maximum of 6).
All the materials that you will need on the day, including merino wool roving.
Use of felting tools in the Stitching Kitchen studio on the day.
Tea and cake.
If you want to continue at home, Stitching Kitchen always has plenty of wool roving and felting tools in stock available for purchase.
What to bring
A couple of towels for rolling the felt and keeping your hands dry.
A packed lunch.
