Discover the intricate beauty of lace making at our upcoming taster session! Join us at Stitching Kitchen for an immersive experience where you'll learn the timeless art of creating delicate lace patterns.
Brackley has a strong history linking bobbin lacemaking with the area. Local lacemaker Lindsay Freeman is keen to encourage new makers into the world of lacemaking and so will be running a session at Stitching Kitchen.
No equipment is needed as Lindsay will bring pillows, bobbins, pins and threads. As always you will receive a warm welcome, support, tea and cake!
During the session you will make a simple piece of lace which could be used as a bookmark. If you are returning you can choose to make something different, the snake, leaf or start working towards a flower.
You can attend this session again time and time again as Lindsay has lots of beginner friendly patterns you can use. If you choose a more complex project you can also loan a pillow and bobbins with a £10 deposit (returned to you when the pillow is returned).
Welcome to Stitching Kitchen the friendly and supportive Crafty Kitchen where Textile Artist Hannah Thompson encourages everyone to have fun with fabric, thread and fluff!
