Shirley High School

This school is so bad I don’t want to go there anymore and the children are simply disrespectful to the children and staff. The staff are disgusting they don’t care about kids and that put them in danger everywhere they go!

I'm going to be honest. This school or specifically my year is full of some of the worst people I've ever met. I left 4 months into the year but I am so much happier now. Teachers are rude and show up late, students are loud and aren't disciplined. Also my form tutor was very disrespectful to all the students. Only good teacher was my maths teacher. You know who you are.

I had an interview here for the school and I can't even express how disrespectful one of the teachers was. She mad me feel like my target grades were extremely poor And not up to their "standard"(which can I just say is not much of a standard considering the results for the school aren't even amazing) my target grades are 7-8-9 and this women was practically trying to tell me to loose hopes for the future "because medicines not for me". Teachers are either overly strict or so relaxed that even younger students cause trouble. There are some kind members of staff (may be 5 or 6) but other than that I'd say you should prepare your children for a tough time.

My daughter started the school in January. She tells me how happy she is there in comparison to her old school. Her tutor is lovely and has really helped her feel at home. The parent app they use keeps you well informed, showing me her attendance, reports and achievements as she gets them which I think is great. My daughter likes the teachers and feels that she is learning well from them.
