  • We spent 3 days at Sheans learning to ride as a part of our honeymoon and the whole experience was wonderful! We went from no real experience at all to hacking our way down the beach. The instructors are knowledgeable and helpful, the farm and surrounding countryside is gorgeous, and the horses were friendly and easy to work with. Highly recommend for all your equestrian adventures (and they've got a sneaky good tea service to boot!)

  • Cannot recommend Sheans enough for a memorable experience. My friend and I are both experienced riders and had such a fun hack on their cobs. The craic was great even though the weather wasn't! Learning how to cut peat was an added and interesting bonus on our ride. We had lunch under much welcomed shelter at the top of a hill with great views over the property. We will be back!

The horses were brilliant, the welcome and hospitality at Sheans Farm was magic and Donal, our guide, should really be a national television star. Far more entertaining than The Derry Girls! Unbelievable experience, scenery, value and craic. Don’t delay. Book right away.

  • Great wee day. Think trek lasted 40mins with a bit of faster walking / trotting in barn and practicing some other positions. I had never worked with or lead a horse/pony before but staff were very good. Kept things simple. Seemed to be in control the whole time. Nice balance of giving you enough space to learn but not feeling like they are crowding you. Stepped in to help me once or twice because my pony was pushing me away a bit. Very enjoyable day and great intro to riding. Kids loved it an...
