Sewing Classes Derby

After sewing for most of my life, I began taking classes to brush up my skills with Tanya. 3 years later I'm still going! I have learnt so much about patterns and construction and I really enjoy the ideas Tanya comes up with. Great classes and I would highly recommend giving it a go. There's always something new to learn

Review: Upon arrival I was made to feel welcome by Tanya, my host and tutor, offered biscuits and drinks, always a good start. I was a total newbie to sewing! Tanya helped guide me through a 3 hour session where I experienced some of the basics skills that I needed to make items, from winding bobbins, feeding the thread into the machine, changing feet and practicing lines of sewing, all good experience. I had an amazing fun time at the beginners sewing class today! Made my first cushion and already hooked... Tanya was a fantastic teacher who worked at pace of class and made me feel very confident using a sewing machine for first time. Tea and biscuits were provided even so engrossed only had one lol! Highly recommend to anyone who wants to learn ... me I am going back for more! Thank you Tanya looking forward to more projects x

I did a cushion making course as a complete beginner. I was a bit nervous but Tanya guided me through every step to a great result.. I was amazed at what could be achieved in just a couple of hours. I took my own machine, which has been in a cupboard for 2 years as I couldn't get on with it. Tanya explained the tensions were all wrong and patiently set it all up for me. Brillaint! My new resolution for 2017: learn to sew my own clothes. I`ve been learning to do just this with Tanya... I`ve made 2 gorgeous dresses so far and am starting my 3rd.
