Sail Windermere

An excellent place to learn to sail. The backdrop is amazing and Chris is a fountain of sailing knowledge. He has a very calm and effective teaching style which made this a really enjoyable experience for us. A great way to spend a weekend! Highly recommended!

Excellent experience. Very pleasant boat, new kit (life jackets etc), all worked well. Chris has got a great style: friendly, level, and you always know he has your back. I was particularly impressed by his ability to flex his teaching, tackling the same point in several different ways if necessary. Note that the keelboat experience feels really different from a dingy - I found it easier to learn because it's a little easier to break up all the steps.

Chris is a great teacher, gentle and laid back he’s fun and helpful letting everyone join in as they want to. Our teenage boys loved this experience learning how to sail, the names of all the kit and exploring the boat. Even better my husband and I got to join in too. I would thoroughly recommend this, and look forward to doing it again.
