Brilliant day, what a great guy Michael is – really sensible approach to life, sharing and our environment. Had an awesome day learning about Cider, preparing the apples, to crush and press, and everyone of us (14!) Came away with 10 L of apple juice, with yeast and nutrients, added, and and a trap, so the cider is already brewing when you get home! Lunch and cake and especially the mug wort tea Was brilliant (thanks, Michael’s mum)-definitely going to return-thanks again.

I went for a full day foraging course and it was a great event. I got practical knowledge and confidence to pick mushrooms/plants by myself. Michael cooked the mushrooms, plants and fruits that we picked, so in that regard it was quite an unique experience. The group also had a good chemistry and as such I enjoyed every minute. Definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful and informative day foraging in the autumn sunshine yesterday. Lunch was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Michael's depth of knowledge is outstanding. We can't wait to get out and practice our new skills and are looking forward to adding lots of wild ingredients to our future meals. Absolutely fantastic day and we will definitely be back for more.

A fantastic day out. Michael was so knowledgeable and really tailored the course for all different levels of experience. He blended just enough theory with lots of practice experience which gave me the confidence to start foraging. Would definitely recommend any of his courses to anyone. He is also a fabulous cook!

I’ve attended many of Michael’s workshops- wild mushroom foraging, hedgerow winemaking, charcuterie, salami making, jerky etc. He has a wealth of knowledge and shares it in an engaging, friendly open way. His workshops are very hands-on, practical and everyone went away with a very generous portion on homemade food and or wine! Absolutely love learning this way and from his beautiful venue in both Kent and at his newer Irish based events. Thanks Michael I hope to learn from you for many years...
