Rotherham Skills Academy

Highly Recommended* I enrolled with Rotherham Skills Academy through the Job Centre. I wanted qualifications in Painting & Decorating, but later decided to undertake the 12 week course for P&D, Joinery, Bricklaying and CSC Card. Site is VERY easy to get too. Tutors are ALWAYS close to hand during practicals. Staff are responsive to student issues, in and offsite i.e. sickness, child care, attendance etc.

For me it was a great experience the staff and tutors are amazing Simon and Adam expecially stand out for me also Vicki from the office but at the end of the day you only get out what you put in I would recommend it to anybody who is wanting to help themselves give it a go.

I did the 2 week construction course with Simon back in may. It was brilliant! Simon was the best teacher i have had the pleasure of meeting. The ladies in the office were very helpful too. I was supposed to do the 6 week multi course but I had to get into work asap due to my partner losing her job very unexpectedly.

You'll be required to work hard here and you'll see the end of it you have gained a lot of knowledge, all tutors have a great knowledge of the things they teach I can tell, they all prepared me well so I've been able to pass my exams with no stress. Tutors prefer to give as much practical time on work floor as possible, so you are going to have nearly 2 weeks to practice everything you have learned here. You have free food on site with plenty of breaks, hot drinks and really friendly environm...

Steve Wood is absolutly outstanding tutor and patience of a saint. I came with no knowledge and I'm leaving with much experience and confidence to go on into construction. Even had job oppertunity whilst here. Amazing place, amazing people.
