Rock N Ridge

We had a really special day climbing with Paul in Yorkshire. He suggested Almscliffe Crag near Leeds which was beautiful and felt really peaceful. As a group we had some pretty diverse hopes for our day - we took my 15 year old nephew who loves bouldering and my 6 year old daughter who mainly just wanted to scramble and play and yet Paul somehow kept everyone entertained and challenged at the right level.

We booked a private session with Paul during a recent family stay in the Lake District (2 adults + 14yo & 9yo). This is the second time we’ve used Paul’s company but the first time we’ve met him personally and were not disappointed. Fantastic local and technical knowledge coupled with him being a genuinely nice chap. We loved the gorge walk in a quiet and beautiful spot. Equipment was provided and all felt safe throughout. We’d highly recommend Paul and team. Will be looking him up again next...

Booked a guided climb of the inaccessible pinnacle in the Cuillins on Skye with Paul. He was so helpful and great at answering questions for us on what kit/experience we needed. Very professional and kept a pace up the climb that we were all comfortable With. Offered advice on poles and boots to assist us. An excellent experience. Would highly recommend 🤩

A great day in the hills! We asked Rock n Ridge to guide us on our first scramble for which we decided to tackle Helvellyn. The weather on the day was far from ideal but we had absolute confidence in our guide John. Despite the bad weather and occasional strong gust of wind we completed the route in one piece and good spirits. Would recomend to anyone looking to take a more challenging route.

Paul is a very genuine and welcoming instructor, his knowledge and experience shows in his confidence in taking you around the ghylls. We had a fantastic afternoon with Paul, enjoying the scenery and the adrenaline packed canyoning. Will defo book again with Paul on our next trip to the lakes and without a doubt recommend him to anyone who is interested in canyoning, rock climbing and mountaineering.
