Very good teacher with individual approach for each student. With this teacher, it's never too late or too early to learn to play an instrument. I think he is very supportive of his students.

Highly recommended teacher. His love for music is evident in his enthusiastic teaching techniques. He is exceedingly patient with students, encourages them and coaxes the best effort from everyone. He knows how to work with kids with challenging behaviour and uses different techniques to help the child concentrate. Robin Thornton is an outstanding music teacher, and his prices are reasonable.

Robin is very obliging and approachable, he is always flexible when it comes to the inevitable diary clashes. Lessons were initially focussed as a beginner in Nat 5 Music with Guitar. Since then and with successful exams behind us lessons continue, a great relationship makes for ideal learning and having the option of face to face or on-line lessons works well for us.

Robin is wonderful with my daughter, he is completely child led and as such doesn’t just teach her the piano but nurture her love of music in general. This means she is gaining a broader experience in music than just the instrument she is learning to play. He is patient and treats her like an equal at all times, taking time to try an alternative way if she doesn’t understand something first time. My son has been having drum lessons with Robin for the past 4 months. Robin has a deep passion for music which he shares with his students. He treats each student as an individual and uses their strengths and interests to teach and keep them motivated. All mistakes are learning experiences and my son has made amazing progress with Robin as his teacher. Would highly recommend.
