Ridley Road Market Bar

For the amount of security at the door, you’d think you’re getting ready to enter an epic evening inside. Wrong. Sub par music, DJ who spent most of their time talking to security. I easily could have done better with my Spotify account. Only saving grace was that it was free cover so I didn’t have any regrets when I left after 10 minutes. Give this place a miss.

It’s a really cool place. Love the vibe 5/5 , cocktails are 4/5 but there’s a HUUUUGEEEE problem: the toilets. There’s three men Uribe else and only 2 Unisex toilets. This is quite stupid when most of the clientele identifies as women or not as male and hence they only use the unisex toilets.

This place has so so much potential - great venue and surprisingly cheap and delicious drinks! The music however is a let down, could do with a better dj and more upbeat music to match the vibe of the people there !

Disappointingly I'm leaving a negative review of this place. I wanted to go because it's unique to have a place like this in a location with so much (potentially unknown) history. There was a very long queue at 11:45pm with thorough security. For what? I do not know... Good vibes going on here with mainly 20s-40s age group. Beers and cocktails, great Mojitos 😉! It gets packed on the weekends, so if you don't mind major shoulder rubbing, you will love it here. Only bad point I'd say is the location of the toilets, you have to squeeze your way through the busy dance floor everytime. Good points - No entrance fee, smoking area outside
