A great place to try gliding for the first time. They do brilliant work supporting military folk to get flying all for a reasonable price. The people who run it are lovely and they have a range of aircraft.

I used to be there 1982 to 1985 as a kid I used to do lights on the old double decker bus and would get a free flight at the end of the day loved it

I was a member of this club in 1986 during my stay in UK, it was really exciting and fan, it has been more than 35 years since that time. I am just wondering about the chines restaurant which was located on the way from the RAF Halton to Wendover, is it still there? we used to buy chicken and chips and rice.

As a 'club' it's a very good asset and open at weekends and Bank Holidays for the 'general public' to try out 'Trial Lessons' (Air Experience Flights) and Club member flying (although being a military club, non-service/civilian members are limited by rules set by the RAF and MoD, not the club itself). Most Trial Lessons are around 20 mins for either a single 2000foot Aerotow or x2 winch launches (to around 900-1000feet), although other options are availible with advance notice. Fantastic fl...
