Princes Risborough/Thame Shotokan Karate Clubs

I find this Karate club excellent because it gives me chance to train with my son (6 years old). We started when he was not quite yet 5, and Mr and Mrs Hogan were able to keep him focused in the training session (mostly). 😀 At the same time there is enough fucus on adults too, so the class is always challenging (in good way) as well as fun. Would highly recommend for children and adults, whether they come together or separately.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn a life skill whether it be on your own or with your children. Sensei Hogan has a patient, inclusive and encouraging style of teaching, and whilst great fun we learn about discipline, control and respect. Fantastic karate classes for all ages. My son has been going for the past 7 years. He's learnt so much about himself, gained confidence as well as discipline and respect. Mr and Mrs Hogan are excellent teachers, so patient and encouraging. Highly recommended!

My son and I have been attending classes for 10 months now, always inclusive, mixed for juniors & seniors, with well explained teaching on different karate levels depending on your capabilities. We are already on our fourth belt and my son who needed the discipline & anger control now knows all the moves in Japanese and often teaches me how to do them properly!
