Description

What is this workshop about?

You may have come across discussion about contemporary angles on traditional Japanese philosophies, culture and practice. But what are the key ideas and how can they be applied in a simple, accessible way to CBT practice? How can therapists use these ideas in practice in the real world that will help clients? And indeed, how can these concepts and practices help us a therapists?

This webinar will review 8 key ideas from traditional and contemporary Japanese philosophy and culture and their relevance to modern CBT practice.

In this unique workshop delegates will get the opportunity to discover a set of 8 ideas along with practical techniques for helping clients take alternative perspectives on their challenges and everyday life. Designed to sit alongside rather than replace core CBT and third wave approaches, these ideas and the associated techniques give a fresh look at the ways clients can make sense of their world and their well being.

A key theme of the workshop will be the use of these 8 Japanese ideas to supporting clients at discharge to support their longer term resilience as their own therapist.
