I have been doing Portuguese lessons with Rubens for nearly 9 months now and could not be happier with the progression I have made. The classes start out by working through Rubens' grammar notes, (which are really good to get the basics) and then quickly move on to conversations. Rubens is a great teacher , friendly and full of encouragement and the classes are something I look forward to each week

Rubens is a fantastic Portuguese teacher. He first teaches the essential grammar through a textbook he has developed himself, which is better than the textbook I had bought and tried to teach myself from, and then continues classes through conversation and exercises. The lessons are enjoyable and thorough. I would highly recommend Rubens to anyone considering learning Portuguese.

Honestly the best teacher I have ever had. I've been learning Portuguese with Rubens for a year now and I'm so happy with how I've progressed. Rubens' lessons are light hearted, engaging and he has a lovely manner in ensuring you feel supported in your learning but also stretched. He's also very flexible which is very helpful. I have been studying with Rubens for 6 months now. Honestly one of the best teachers I have had! He is very patient and concise. His lessons are always tailored to your current level of Portuguese.
