Description

Have you always wanted to have a go at a Pottery class? Unsure if you want to commit to a pottery course or workshop. These taster sessions will give a you a brilliant opportunity to get your hands a bit mucky and learn a little bit about how clay works. We will complete a small easy beginners project, by hand, in a couple of hours. ( projects will vary dependant on different class facilitators)
Hopefully you’ll go away feeling inspired and confident in your decision to join a course or full workshop with us.

Your small project will be left with us for the glazing and kiln firing process, ready to collect in approx 3-4wks.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can we take what we make home on the day?

    UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED 

    Creating your project with ceramic clay or glass fusing means that it will need time to be fired in our kilns. Your work will be left with us for the firing process. This can take up to 3 wks, but will be well worth the wait.! We will email you to arrange a day / time to come back and collect your finished work. 

  • Is the studio warm

    Yes, the studio is cosy warm and heated 

  • Can children come?

    Children age 7 yrs upward are welcome to attend private /family bookings or where the class or course states it is for children, when accompanied by an adult.  All our other classes, workshops and courses are for 16yrs upwards unless an age group is otherwise stated. 

  • Is the studio dusty/ dirty?

    The Studio spaces are kept free from dust. We use a wet vac cleaning routine.

    In accordance with Health and Safety in the studio , our risk assessment is available and updated regularly . All hazards associated with clay and other ceramics materials are addressed and mitigated. 

  • Do you have toilets

    There are two fully accessible toilets available for studio use. 

  • Is this class fully accessible

    This class is in our main studio space and is fully accessible. 

  • Do you provide aprons?

    We have freshly laundered aprons available. You are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. We recommend wearing old comfortable clothing.
