Description
Come and join our wonderful Glass Artist Debs in the studio, to learn how to create a fused glass panel 23cm tall Lantern.
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners.
The class begins with an introduction to Glass fusing, looking at techniques and materials.
Under the tuition and guidance from Debs, you will design and create 5 fused glass panels, with a wonderful array of glass frits, enamels and yummy glass shapes like sweeties.
You will have plenty of examples and ideas demonstrated by Debs, including florals, geometric ideas and more.
The Panels will be fired in the kiln before being returned to you fully installed into your lantern approx 2-3 weeks later.
Your lantern will be suitable for display with a pillar candle , led lights , battery operated night light, fairy lights etc 🌟
This workshop is in the fully accessible area of our studio.

Yes, the studio is cosy warm and heated
Can children come?
Children age 7 yrs upward are welcome to attend private /family bookings or where the class or course states it is for children, when accompanied by an adult. All our other classes, workshops and courses are for 16yrs upwards unless an age group is otherwise stated.
Do you have toilets
There are two fully accessible toilets available for studio use.
Is the studio dusty/ dirty?
The Studio spaces are kept free from dust. We use a wet vac cleaning routine.
In accordance with Health and Safety in the studio , our risk assessment is available and updated regularly . All hazards associated with clay and other ceramics materials are addressed and mitigated.
Is this class fully accessible
This class is in our main studio space and is fully accessible.
