Park Wood Golf Club

First time playing here, considering the weather the course played really well. Staff were brilliant, Jack at the bar couldn’t be more helpful. Definitely playing again👍🏼

For the time of year course conditions were great, stick to the fairway and you’re laughing, don’t get me wrong some areas are fairly boggy but what can you expect for the middle of Jan! Stopped back in the club house for a pint after, brilliant customer service from Jack behind the bar, up for a chat and a laugh! The club also has a brilliant loyalty stamp plan as well that gets you free coffee 3 stamps in, pint 8 stamps in and a round 10 stamps in. Will definitely be back!

I recently played the course on the 27th of December and it was dreadful. Having played here a few times, we booked a tee time for 8:20am. The course had no tee boxes due to irrigation and put down Astro turf mats instead of just instructed us to tee off on the fairway. The 2nd hole had moved its green onto the fairway but had left it as a fairway so it wasn’t an actual green, just a fairway with a flag in it. The visit was for a Christmas lunch for about 60 people. The room had lovely views ( however the windows needed cleaning), but was cold and many people kept their coats on throughout. The room was bare and the ceiling showed signs of water damage . My main course was beetroot and goats cheese risotto which was tasty but the portion was very small and more like a starter size. The deserts were rather better. The staff were pleasant and helpful. It was not good value for money.

A very fun but challenging course, would 100% recommend to everyone. It is very well looked after and very good value. The staff are very friendly and take interest on how your round went. I will be playing here more often.
