We had no idea what to expect of this course but we came away full of knowledge and confidence that, were we to accept our own self-imposed challenge, we could build a stone wall. Dave was informative, knowledgeable and hugely passionate about the subject. The tea and coffee was very welcome on a cold day and the biscuit range included jammy dodgers so we were very happy.

I done the go pro course to gain the knowledge needed to get started in a career in dry stone walling to a high standard. And it delivered. Dave was an excellent teacher and also helps you understand the different areas of dry stone walling

We attended the Lake District based morning course in October. Very useful introduction to dry stone walling, with some valuable hands-on practice. Dave is a flexible instructor, and willingly gave tips on repairing dry stone walls which need a bit of TLC (the reason we booked on the course). Would recommend.

Great morning with a team of 8 from work at the Dry Stone Walling Academy in Oxford. Dave is a great instructor and made the morning fun and enjoyable. We all picked up some useful tips and managed to build some reasonable walls!

An excellent way to spend a morning. Starting off with some great background, we then moved swiftly on to expert tutoring in the required skills before getting our hands (gloves) dirty and building some wall. A fantastic insight and taster into the world of dry stone walling and a brilliant education in the basics of the trade / art. Highly recommended for anyone with even a passing interest in dry stone walling or simply looking for a different way to spend a morning.
