Was a little bit concerned when we first walked in because it seemed like a bit of a basic pub. But when we were taken through to the restaurant things improved vastly. The restaurant is really lovely and the food is stunningly good - huge portions of good, homely food that tasted great. Really nice staff and a lovely atmosphere added to the experience. I would have no hesitation in recommending this place to anyone.

This pub is full of foul mouthed people, who cant seem to get in other pubs, in the daytime. The landlord doesn't seem to care, he is taking their cash. Some of the bar staff are rude. Much better pubs in town.Music was ok. Fairly empty pub speaks volumes for a Saturday evening at approximately 8.30pm

A little gem for anyone wanting a nice pint or homemade food in a pub while in Doncaster town centre Olde Castle Hotel is the place to be, 5mins walk from Doncaster Town Visitor Moorings on the Sheffield & South Yorkshire Navigation. Absolutely spot on town pub. Food is lovely, all freshly cooked. Saturdays there is karaoke with a fantastic set up. Has to be the best place in town by far. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit.
