Northwest Flute Tuition

Since having Rachel my playing has improved massively! I've never had such a kind and inspiring teacher! Thanks to Rachel I have now taken my my grade 8 exam and successfully gained a position at music college.

Rachel is an outstanding flute teacher. She has worked as part of my music department for many years and has diligently prepared her students for their music examinations, achieving exceptional results. Rachel is patient, kind, organised and punctual. She is an outstanding player, herself which makes her extremely inspiring and I can highly recommend her as a teacher for flautists at all levels.

I met Rachel at a workshop 2 years ago. Her playing and conversation inspired me to want to play with a better tone. She listened to my desires and took on the challenge of correcting 50 years of bad habits. She has sensitively taken me back to the basics, including how to hold the flute, position my hands and head, how to breath correctly, use the muscles in my stomach and embouchure.
