I played here once for Paignton v North Devon in 1987.
My first game in England at the most beautiful ground I've ever seen.
The afternoon tea in the thatched roof rooms was amazing.
Not my review but my husbands .he played cricket at the north devon c c .in 1976 touring with bridlington c c .great place to play as an allrounder .runs and wickets .great people and hospitality wonderful .had the chance to go back and play for them but work got in the way .
Cycling from Barnstable and stopped for a Drink. Took in the end of the match with a lovely G&T. What a setting, this must be one of the best places to watch cricket in the British Isles. If you get the opportunity don’t miss. Cracking little club
I love this ground and feel privileged to hv played there once (on tour from Goring-on-Thames 40 years ago!). Flat as a pancake and located on the estuary between Bideford and Barnstaple at Instow, right next to the Tarka Trail. It has a proper score box and wonderful clubhouse and the pitch looks like a carpet. The location is wonderful though with sandy beaches and rock pools at low-tide.
