Newhampton Arts Centre

This review concerns Jesters - used to be a great little cafe serving a wide range of stuff including vegetarian and vegan food. Unfortunately since it's changed ownership there's a visible lack of understanding of dietary choices. No, not all cheese is vegetarian. If you work in the food industry this is basic knowledge.

I went to visit the Breaking the Mould exhibition on Saturday - which was excellent and well worth a visit. It was 3pm and the front and side doors were padlocked shut. The car park was open, so headed for the nearest door. That door was on an electronic catch. We rang the doorbell and after 5 minutes a workman finally let us in. Hardly a welcoming community space for an exhibition that was advertised on the website as being open from 11am.

The cafe is amazing! Absolutely delightful food. Brilliant welcoming staff. The word hearth springs to mind, as it provides warmth and light, food and protection from the cold. I went for a seasonal wreath workshop in altar and it was amazing. The decor inside is gorgeous. The ladies are lovely and they offer so many activities. I'll definitely be back

Lovely venue. Plenty of on site parking and additional parking on surrounding roads. Went to play a gig on Friday night. Great atmosphere. Lots of things going on there.
