I've been having guitar lessons with James for a few months and i'm really pleased with how far i've progressed. The lessons are fun while still being challenging enough to keep you on your toes. I would highly recommend James to anyone looking to improve!

After many years of fiddling around on my guitar, but basically being pretty stuck in a rut, I struck lucky when a friend recommended James to me. James made me feel at ease from the very first lesson, having felt a little nervous going in. He pitches his song choices at the right level; challenging enough to keep you on your toes but still at a level where you make progress and can practice at home. He also explains the musical theory behind it too, which has really helped my understanding and I have seen a lot of progress in just 3 weeks. Would highly recommend the Bristol House of Music!

James is a brilliant teacher! After only couple of lessons I can see my guitar playing improve. His lessons are fun as he always sets a new challenges and gives you much needed confidence. I'm really glad I found him and I'm looking forward to the journey of becoming a better guitarist thanks to him!

Felt so lucky when I found James to teach the guitar he's playing ability is brilliant I was in awe when watching him play my favourite songs with ease in front of me. James's teaching ability is so relaxed but positive .I remember doing things on the guitar I'd never dream of ,he seems to have the knack to get the best out of you ,and not be one bit critical when u make a mistake .James is very organized and will definitely make you a better guitarist and enjoy it at the same time
