Would you like to learn how to develop a regular meditation & breathing practice & gain tools to support you in an increasingly challenging and uncertain world? If so, READ ON...
During this course, you will develop an in-depth personal experience of mindfulness meditation and dynamic breathing techniques and learn to build the foundations of a sustained personal practice, with a view to applying this in your life. The programme will consist of 6 x 100-minute sessions on Monday evenings, with a focus on background information, personal reflection and - most importantly - practice. Each session will build on the previous one, and homework exercises and recorded practices will be given out each week. You will go away with a 70-page handbook full of background information, poetry and guided practices plus you will gain access to an online podcast with guided practices led by your Mindfulness coach. The course will be delivered on Zoom and you will have the opportunity to share experiences of the practices with a community of learners, all from the comfort of your own home.
The course is great for both absolute beginners and those with previous experience of mindfulness and breathing techniques, who may be looking to refresh their insights and experience again. Meet your coach:
Dr Ross Deuchar has a PhD in Education and Sociology from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow and has over 25 years of experience of working in education and with clients in business, social care and penal settings. He is a certified Mindfulness Meditation Practitioner, having completed his training in this area with Mindfulness Scotland, whose teacher training course has been accredited by the UK Network of Mindfulness Training Organisations. He has been practising mindfulness meditation for almost a decade and also engages in a daily dynamic breathing practice. As well as being a Mindfulness and Breathing coach, he is a certified Life Coach, NLP Practitioner and Fitness Instructor.
