Miller Farming

A superb tour of the working farm yesterday. The whole family really enjoyed it. Garry and Hazel are lovely and gave a very honest and informative tour. The sheepdog demo in Watermillock was also amazing. Would happily recommend the tour and sheepdog demo to anyone. Thank you very much

Enjoyed a superb farm tour at Miller Farming. Lots of information about farming, ecological management of the land, the costs of farming and long term planning together with the importance of connectivity of food production to that on our plates with sustainability. Lovely to see milking of a cow, shearing of sheep as well as seeing the pigs and hens etc. Garry did a spectacular sheep dog demonstration, amazing to see these dogs at work. A fabulous tour, highly recommend to all.

Informative, interactive and fun tour around the Miller's farm. Lovely to hear about all they are doing for the environment, how costs are rising so its harder to make a profit, about the different animals on their farm and how they care for each and every one of them. We watched a sheep being sheared, dogs at work, petted lambs, watched a cow being milked and fed the pigs. Plus enjoyed delicious pulled pork and lamb baps, followed by brownies. Well done Millers.

Great fun, super-friendly tour of a working farm. Brilliant for kids - we got to see sheep shearing and herding with dogs as well as milking, egg production and more. Garry and Hazel are very friendly and obviously passionate about what they do.

We recently went on a fantastic farm tour at the Millers farm of their sheep, cattle and horses - we even got to see two lambs being born! The tour was finished with a sheepdog demonstration which was amazing to watch and understand how the dogs are trained. A brilliant experience, we learnt so much and the team was really friendly, ideal for families looking for a good day out near Ullswater.
