I joined the Meikyokai Aikido Club in 2013. Having trained in kempo jujitsu for 3.5 years prior to that. I can honestly say, I never regretted the switch and never looked back. To me Aikido is the most fascinating martial art and this is the place to train and study it with the support of one of the best practitioners in the UK. This is the place where techniques are taught and explained in depth. During training sessions there is a friendly atmosphere and Neil Saunders Sensei never gets tir...

I have trained in a number of different martial arts and really enjoy Aikido - it's good for fitness, stress management and really challenges you. I have trained at 2 other clubs before settling here and highly rate the instruction, it's approach to safety and welcoming nature.

I am an aikido practitioner for about 13 years. I have trained in different places under different Senseis and finnaly I found the right one. I've been training here for 4 years now and the teachers are very welcoming and friendly. They've helped me as a beginner in Aikido to become a lot more confident in my Martial Arts skills. I see my skills and knowledge develop in every class and its good be able to practice in a supportive environment without any aggression or egos. I travel quite a long way to train here and its worth every moment getting fitter and having fun with friends.
