Mcalpine Dance

I haven’t danced for years!!!! But managed to attend some Zoom ballet classes under the wonderful direction of Louisa; fantastic! Thank you so much...it made ‘Lockdown’ bearable and I found I could still do a little, despite the age and creaking bones and muscles! I wish I could attend the classes in person...but wait for retirement, when it will be top of my ‘To do’ list! This Dance School really does open up dance for all ages!💜💜

Excellent dance school!! My daughter has attended ballet classes for over three years now. She absolutely loves her teacher, Louisa! And I could not be happier with the school either. Louisa is a fantastic teacher, everyone in there is passionate about dancing and every child is made to feel special. Thank you!

Louisa is a brilliant ballet teacher, as we know well from pre-lockdown days. Lessons during lockdown on Zoom have been a godsend for our family, engaging and developing our four year old, while giving her parents a bit of a break! We'd all prefer to be in the room of course, but Louisa's ability to make lots of little girls and boys enjoy and learn ballet, and completely forget that they are doing it on Zoom, is highly impressive. It' s the highlight of our Saturday and we are very grateful.

Louisa McAlpine is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She is kind and takes an interest in every member of the class, whatever their age, standard or ability. She encourages us all and makes the lessons so enjoyable with her cheerful good humour. I always feel happy after my ballet class. I would miss it dreadfully if I couldn't attend.

Both my daughters have been taking ballet classes here since they were little – so it’s been four or five years now. We are very happy with our experience. Louisa and Phyllida are very good with the children. The classes are both rigorous and fun. It feels like a big, inclusive family. Highly recommended!
