About the Club, Great location, Club house has facilities to have a brew, get changed, shower etc, they have a little gym room, the river set up is awesome and from first hand experience the 'people' are extremely helpful (volunteer run I think) it's as far from commercial as you could wish to get.. as in its all about the fun of the sport whether hobby or wannabe pro paddlers its certainly not sales sales sales, you can try 3 times for a nominal fee before you commit to membership, we've us...

Manchester Canoe Club is great if you have an interest in Slalom. The site in Marple has some of the best facilities, I have seen for a canoe club. The river itself has some good bits for a Grade 2 blast, but be aware and talk to someone local as it has a couple of interesting bits. If you want some real fun, the usual 1 1/2 run from Roman lakes, takes less than 10 mins when the water is above 1.10 on the EA Gauge (Goyt)
