Loughborough Islamic Society

The Loughborough Students Union’s Islamic Society is the university’s largest and most active society. Our events are inclusive to undergraduates, postgraduates, university members of staff and even the local Muslim community. We aim to ensure that everyone’s needs are catered for. The key purpose of the society is to help Muslims integrate into university life by helping them to overcome the challenge of practicing their religion in an environment away from home and additionally, to balance this with their work studies. Our organised events throughout the year provide Muslims with the opportunity to forge new bonds with people; learning from and enjoying the company of one another and assist them in getting closer to Islam. Ultimately making their experience at university a cherished one that they look back on with fond memories.
