Great confidence giving lesson on a very well looked after horse

Excited to get back in the saddle, I was told I didn't have a booking on arrival with the word NO about 10 times as I queried what had happened. The manager (assuming she was) didn't take any responsibility for their mistake which was just bizarre. I was in a bit of disbelief at her behaviour so I left. I'd driven a really long way and was prepared to do so weekly. What a waste of an afternoon.

Aged 76 and not having ridden for 9 years due to a back injury but never having lost my love of riding, I approached taking up the reins again with some trepidation. However, I needn't have worried. Bailey was a perfect gentleman and my instructor had the patience of a saint. Once in the saddle, I was fine but mounting and dismounting presented a problem (and still does) and hopefully I will improve. Katie, my instructor, has a lot more confidence in me than I have.
