London Tango Classes (Tango178)

Great venue for tango in south London. Lovely atmosphere, good sound and dancefloor, great intimate space for dancing. Well worth a trip south of the river if you are in town. You can also get nice food and drinks in the pub below.

Tango178 has evolved into a very strong Tango community, which is incredibly welcoming and supportive. It feels genuinely inclusive, you'll find very experienced dancers and novices sharing the great atmosphere that Simon and Emily have created. One of the best Argentine Tango schools in London. Small but perfectly formed. I've been learning Argentine Tango on and off for 12 years with really good teachers, but I never quite 'got it' until I started learning with Simon and Emily at London Tango Classes (Tango 178) first in Peckham then New Cross. This Tango class is amazing! We love Simon and Emily and all the lovely people who come here, they are excellent teachers. I've been to other classes and there is such a great vibe here. Maybe because it's smaller and because they seem to have a lot of long term regulars, I'm not sure, but it's definitely 'special'. London Tango classes offers a really friendly and inclusive atmosphere. Classes are fantastic, Simon and Emily are gifted and approachable teachers. I always feel welcomed and I really appreciate the effort they make in creating an environment like that
