Lehren Pottery Studio

We booked a private throwing class for 2 with Tom, and it was superb. His instruction was spot on for us both, and even as complete beginners, he soon had us throwing a decent few pots. A really enjoyable experience, I thoroughly recommend it. A perfect introduction to pottery.

My sibling and I are two complete beginners to throwing. We went to Studio Lehren for a 2-2-1 private throwing session with Tom and had such a wonderful experience! Tom is very knowledgable and helpful, showing us a couple of different techniques and taking us through all the stages of making pottery from the initial clay work before going onto the wheel, to a run down of the kiln firing. We went to 2-1 classes with Tom for our „Pottery wedding anniversary” (9th). We were complete beginners but we loved every minute of it! The studio is amazing, it gives you kind of a film set vibe. It is so cozy and full of amazing artwork! Tom is a fantastic teacher - extremely knowledgable, totally in love with what he does & also very fun and easy going person. A birthday gift of 90 mins first time pottery session with Tom was awesome. At 75yrs old I was unsure about going but couldn't have had a better time. Tom was a great teacher, friendly but very knowledgeable and skilled. He clearly knows his stuff. I thought that maybe I would make something resembling an Ash tray but made 2 waterproof vessels that I am delighted with. Would definitely recommend Studio Lehren to anyone considering the art. Had a 3-to-1 Pottery class with Tom for my Mum's birthday. We were all complete beginners and Tom was a fantastic teacher! The space is great, and we all came away having a really nice time and with little vessels that we could be proud of. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of trying out throwing/trying something new!
