• Is this course state-approved?

  Yes, our training aligns with the Georgia Board of Private Detective and Security Agencies’ guidelines.

• What topics are covered?

  You’ll learn about security laws, case management, report writing, law enforcement collaboration, surveillance methods, ethics, investigative techniques and more.

• Is this course online or in-person?

  The course is offered online for flexibility, allowing you to complete it at your own pace. The security portion can be completed online, but students must visit the academy to complete the required firearms training and range qualification.

• How long does the course take to complete?

  The duration varies based on your pace, but most students complete it within a days.

• Will I receive a certification upon completion?

  Yes! Upon passing, you will be certified and eligible to obtain a state security license.

• Can I use this certification to work as a security officer?

  Yes, successful completion qualifies you to work for businesses and agencies in Georgia.

• What are the requirements to enroll?

  You must be at least 18 years old, have a valid ID, and meet Georgia's legal requirements for security officers.

  Firearms Training Students must be at least 21 years old.

• Are there any additional fees beyond the course tuition?

  If a student fails 3 Basic Security quizzes or the Basic Security exam, there is a retake fee of $75.00

• How do I enroll?

  You can register online through our website. Once enrolled, you’ll receive access to course materials and instructions to begin your training. 

  For Firearms Students: We will schedule your in-person firearm training session.
