I took my first class over 3 years ago and instantly clay became my passion. Thanks to the teachers John & John. They are helpful, patient and sharing decades of experiences/knowledge in pottery. Classes are affordable and with their online booking system you are flexible to take the next class. Pop in to give it a go! It feels amazing to discover your creative side.

I started with a set of beginner classes about a year ago with the Johns and have been supported from being a complete novice to being reasonably independent on the wheel. The Johns match your pace of learning, offering the ideal level of support. The classes are perfect for someone just looking for a weekly social/fun activity, but also for people looking to try and develop a new skill. These classes are great value and I have already recommended them to friends.

I've been going to the pottery workshop for over 5 years. John Parker and John Ayling are available to teach pottery skills to newcomers but also to advise the regulars who want to try new ideas. I choose to hand build ceramic decorations whilst others prefer to use the wheel. There's always a friendly atmosphere. Sessions are available on Wed/ Sat afternoons and Tues/ Thu evenings so opening times to suit most people 😊

been attending since 2011, it’s a great space to learn, develop and gain Pottery skills. It’s non-formal class style is flexible and accommodating to any learning style and level. You can chose to do wheel or handbuilding work. It’s easily accessible by all bus routes from city centre and there is also St Michael’s train station a short walk away.
